A few people have written to me about comments, angry that their posted comment has been 'censored'.

I'm not responsible for comments being uploaded, but I've spoken to the powers that be and have been assured that only two comments have not been published in recent weeks - one supposedly naming two paedophile priests, and another labelling someone as a 'Jew hater'.

Believe me, if comments were being censored then I would not allow those such as the one by 'marvin' in my post on the Brussels Journal. But they're not and so it appears.

I think it's simply a case of technological error - that a comment might have been sent but hasn't been received.

Anyway, free to email me if a comment you've sent hasn't appeared and I'll look into it.

It is true that comments made disappear at regular intervals on all Blogs within this site. I have never had part comments shown - just some that never make it. And the other day the site in the morning had a completely different layout with a 'twitching' advert that made it impossible to read anything as it move the whole page. The technical experience on this site has for a very long time been poor for these sort of reasons. I complaind once or twice to melanie and she forwarded them to your site tecchie, but it does seem starnge that there are so many inconsistencies in something that so many others do on a much bigger scale with ease. Consider this pressure to pass on!

My main problem is with the khaki-coloured (camel? fawn?) Coffeehouse box at the top-right corner, especially the navigation arrows. Sometimes you can move fwd but not back, sometimes they don't respond at all, sometimes you get a tiling effect of the various posts cascading down the page.

I have noticed you are getting seen off by that M Phillips and that C Davis, neither of whose pages shows a button to navigate to your page.

Is this a virtual atmosphere?

I have sent yet another comment that has vanished. That makes it at least half a dozen. I am sick and tired of The Spectator censoring me.

well, clearly several comments on your mistaken attack on TBJ have been censored. Looks like you are having some serious "technological errors"...
