It's nothing to do with race. I like and admire many African Americans - often they are clearly superior to ignorant, vulgar, and nasty whites.

Obama though - I look at his pictures and all I see is the pose. I listen to his speeches, and all I hear is his consciousness of rhetorical ploys; and I never escape the sense that he's trying to equal or out-do MLK.

The difference is that MLK had fire and lived in and through the language. The packaging obscures anything real that might be inside BO.

If he's prez - I'll be physically ill until it's all over.

Melanie's evisceration of Obama is based entirely on facts the US and British msm will not go near. Ayers, Wright, Farrakhan etc are not fictitious names and the connection with Obama is solid and proved. I notice from last night he's now moderated his position on the US, not quite the land of hopelessness as portrayed by his gratingly ungrateful wife? However what has this to do with taking a few days off? The crazies have arrived on the site lurching into the same old, same old. Had this been some Muslim commentator during Ramadan would they be just as viciously hostile? I doubt it. That would be racism wouldn't it?

What a choice in the American election! Obama's full of hot air (his wife's got a big chip on her shoulder - I don't think she likes being black) and McAin's too old (which may mean Palin with her finger on the red button!)
