In the Daily Mail, I have written about the amazing revelation in last Friday’s Evening Standard by Andrew Neather, a former speechwriter to various Labour ministers, that the government had not only deliberately encouraged mass immigration to Britain in order to destroy its identity and transform it into a multicultural society but had covered up what it was doing because it was well aware that the public would rise up in revolt. Such a deliberate transformation of Britain’s society while keeping the public in the dark can only be described as treachery.
However, in a further article in the Standard, Neather has tried to backtrack on his explosive disclosure. Accusing
excitable Right-wing newspaper columnists
for presenting his views in such a way that they were
twisted out of all recognition
he claims that the speech he wrote in 2000 that introduced the new, looser immigration policy and the ‘sensitive report on migration by the Prime Minister's Performance and Innovation Unit’ on which that new policy was based were merely mooting changes to make it easier for skilled workers to come to the UK. He writes:
Multiculturalism was not the primary point of the report or the speech. The main goal was to allow in more migrant workers at a point when - hard as it is to imagine now - the booming economy was running up against skills shortages. But my sense from several discussions was there was also a subsidiary political purpose to it - boosting diversity and undermining the Right's opposition to multiculturalism.
I was not comfortable with that. But it wasn't the main point at issue. Somehow this has become distorted by excitable Right-wing newspaper columnists into being a ‘plot’ to make Britain multicultural. There was no plot.
But this is what Neather actually wrote last Friday:
I wrote the landmark speech given by then immigration minister Barbara Roche in September 2000, calling for a loosening of controls. It marked a major shift from the policy of previous governments: from 1971 onwards, only foreigners joining relatives already in the UK had been permitted to settle here.
That speech was based largely on a report by the Performance and Innovation Unit, Tony Blair's Cabinet Office think-tank... Drafts were handed out in summer 2000 only with extreme reluctance: there was a paranoia about it reaching the media. Eventually published in January 2001, the innocuously labelled ‘RDS Occasional Paper no. 67’, ‘Migration: an economic and social analysis’ focused heavily on the labour market case.
But the earlier drafts I saw also included a driving political purpose: that mass immigration was the way that the Government was going to make the UK truly multicultural.
I remember coming away from some discussions with the clear sense that the policy was intended -- even if this wasn’t its main purpose -- to rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date. That seemed to me to be a manoeuvre too far.
Ministers were very nervous about the whole thing. For despite Roche's keenness to make her big speech and to be upfront, there was a reluctance elsewhere in government to discuss what increased immigration would mean, above all for Labour's core white working-class vote. [My emphasis]
This shone through even in the published report: the ‘social outcomes’ it talks about are solely those for immigrants. And this first-term immigration policy got no mention among the platitudes on the subject in Labour's 1997 manifesto, headed Faster, Firmer, Fairer.
According to Neather’s first article, creating a multicultural society was the main point at issue. The subsidiary point was rubbing the Right’s nose in it. And he described how there was ‘paranoia’ among ministers that the people who voted for them might learn the truth about what the government was up to.
Neather’s second article is therefore an absurd attempt to pretend that he didn’t say what he did say. But he can’t stuff this particular cat back into the bag. What he blurted out last Friday is a scandal. Or should be, if the media and Conservative opposition were not paralysed into silence over immigration.
For what is almost as astonishing as Neather’s revelation is the fact that it has occasioned so little comment. As far as I can see, the BBC hasn’t even reported it. Yet last Friday Neather revealed that the demographic composition of this country had been deliberately altered by the government in a deliberate deception of the British electorate who had voted it into power and whose cultural identity was now being deliberately and covertly destroyed. And yet everyone is either too indifferent or too intimidated to talk about this.
Truly, this country is in a lethal trance.
Update, Tuesday: It appears that the Tories did press the government about this in the Commons yesterday -- although it also appears that the Immigration Minister, Phil Woolas, didn't know what revelations they were talking about.

October 27th, 2009 1:37amThe problem isn't immigration per se.
It's Muslim immigration, for militant Islam will always refuse to integrate, demanding instead that the host country adapts to its way of life, rather than the other way round.
This is just the beginning of a nightmare scenario bequeathed to our children and grandchildren by our reckless and arrogant, so-called leaders.

October 27th, 2009 2:20amAsk yourself this question, would the liebour party be sooo enthusiastic for immigration into the country, if the immigrants were all tory voters ? I dont think so.
When you have thousands upon thousands of immigrants hanging off the backs of trucks, buses, trains and airplanes with their legs and arms akimbo, waltzing into the country, demanding a right to stay in England.
Meanwhile the liebour govenment is twiddling their thumbs, doing didley squat and instead of throwing out these chancers, they are giving them the red carpet treatment, free health care, free education, free housing, and other benefits. It just doesnt add up, does it ? Something is afoot.
And when asked about this, all the liebour MPs, like across between some demented pavlov dog and a parrot say this robotic mantra '' Immigration is a good thing, it brings benefit to the country, blah blah blah.'' Its like some zombie cult, Jack Straw said it on Question like an automaton.
You dont need to be Columbo to work it out, Stevie Wonder can see whats happening, nothing happens by accident in this world, everthing is planned and so it is with liebour's diabolical plot to radically alter the make up of the nation.
You see , England is a right of centre country, without Scottish and Welsh votes liebour would find it extremley difficult to win in England, and with Alex Salmond's SNPs government heading for independence, the liebour party is staring at perpetual tory rule in England, basically liebour is buggered.
So some bright spark at liebour HQ said '' I know what to do , lets have a tsumami of third worlders in the country, because they will be a block liebour vote and to hell with social cohesion and social infrastructure, hospitals, schools, public transport, what a jolly jape , eh ?
Most of the liebour cabinet were communists, marxists, CND'ers, socialists internationalists in the 1970s , thats why they have a self loathing for England.
Jack Straw said and I quote '' England is not worth saving as a people.''
What a disgraceful, shameful thing to say.
According to the 2001 census
Londonistan population
70% Caucasion
30% Ethnic third worlders.
God only knows what the stats are now , I reckon its 50% ethnic and the muslims are going to build the biggest mosque in Europe in the east end holding 80.000 people.
Well Enoch told you so and you didnt listen.
''It is no accident that the Labour Party of 1964 should share this craving for autarchy, for economic self-sufficiency, with the pre-war
Fascist régimes and the present-day Communist states. They are all at heart
totalitarian.''
And
''In the end, the Labour party could cease to represent labour. Stranger historic ironies have happened than that.''
And the best quote of all.
''We must be mad, literally mad, as a nation to be permitting the annual inflow of some 50,000 dependents, who are for the most part the
material of the future growth of the immigrant-descended population. It is like watching a
nation busily engaged in heaping up its own
funeral pyre.''
Well Enoch, its not 50.000 year, its 425.000 a year.

October 27th, 2009 6:45amThe historian Bat Ye'Or has done more than anybody else to document the Islamisisation of Europe since the late '60s and the deliberate tactic of the EU in cooperating with the Islamic world in favouring immigration from these places, in economic cooperation and in a shared anti-Israel agenda. The UK was just following the EU lead here. One cannot seperate this Islamic immigrant issue in the UK from the same issue in Europe and the related anti-Israel animus from these quarters.

October 27th, 2009 8:47amHerbert Morrison (I think) talked about "building the tories out of London". And then more recently, of course, there was Dame Shirley Porter. October 27th, 2009 8:52am"Truly, this country is in a lethal trance."
I've said it before and I'll say it again, what this country really needs to do is go out on a mass general strike. Wake up England and stop being so bloody apathetic! When the expenses scandal broke people were clamouring for a GE to get rid of the troughers, yet, within the media, the most commonly used phrase to describe peoples anger was "a quiet revolution". A quiet revolution will not do sod all. These politicians wont give a damn how angry we get on the TV, in the papers or on various blogs, as long as we don't do anything that directly challenges them or disrupts the country. As long as we, the public, remain happy with our quiet revolution, and we think we are achieving something by voicing our anger in a non, direct action, sort of protest; politicians will happily let us carry on like that all day.
If you want these lying, cheating, thieving hoons brought to justice then for the love of God, do something other than the usual English trick of moaning about it, then getting back on with your daily lives. Take to the streets, bring the country to a standstill until these greedy buggers do as WE, their masters, tell them.
Say what you like about our French neighbours, but they would not put up with one tenth of this crap before they took to the streets and brought the country to a prolonged standstill. At least they have a backbone, and are not covered in a restrictive sense of apathy.
Don't just raise your anger on these blogs, get off your backsides and do something to change it, or shut up and take what these politicians dish out. It is a very simple choice.
PjaD
October 27th, 2009 9:01amAnd yet you still get people using language like 'the government's failure to deal with immigration' or 'Labour's poor response to immigration', as if it were some outside influence and not something of their own creation. Now we know that it was ideologically driven all along. The biggest single social engineering experiment in the developed world in recent times, achieved by stealth.

October 27th, 2009 9:17amLeaving aside the horrendous social problems that this vile immigration fiasco is wreaking, the effect on the environment of this deluge will be catastrophic. Perhaps those MPs and other opinion-makers who are too afraid to talk about the effect on national identy and societal harmony can at least attempt to stem the whrlwind - the one that their children and grandchildren will reap - by banging on about that politically correct aspect of the immigration problem.
In one respect Griffin is correct - "cultural genocide" is what it is.
But since the traditional British history curriculum has long since been suppressed in schools by the arch-leftist manipulators of this once great nation's destiny, few children grow up these days with a clear understanding of the culture and evolution of these islands.
I'm glad I have no children in this country to inherit this mess, but to those who do I say: consider Australia, which still deserves its epithet "The Lucky Country". Encourage your children to acquire the occupational skills Oz requires!

October 27th, 2009 9:44amOne other unfortunate drawback from all this, is the English speaking Commonwealth countries that still seem to look to Britain for leadership. At the very least they keep an eye on what's being done here. Not satisfied with the mix they find themselves with, it becomes necessary to have a similar thorough global diversity in their population. Like Britain any complaints are quickly branded raciest. If it's any consolation the whole leftist plague appears to be doing the same diabolical tricks as their UK cousins.

October 27th, 2009 10:37amOther points:
What Neather described should more properly be called (Muslim) colonisation not immigration. The aim of the religious fanatics has always been clear. Ever since Charles Martel (Tours/Poitiers) and, later, the Gates of Vienna, desire for revenge on the “crusaders” has been paramount and now is probably irreversible. Sanctioned polygamy (in the UK paid for by benefits) and rampant out-breeding of the indigenous EU populations means the colonisation will soon have succeeded. The Trojan horse has done its work.
On votes: A High Court Judge in Britain has already warned that the abuse of postal voting (a Labour electoral “reform”) has turned the UK’s voting system into that of a banana republic. Why so? Well clearly the colonisers vote is a controlled and controllable one. As the judge heard in evidence the dominant “community leaders” (usually the only ones with sufficient grasp of English) in each ghetto collects the blank postal votes from the rest of their tribe, fills these out and sends them back -- hey presto block labour voting for ever (and watch it at work next time round too).
Lastly if the postal votes are insufficient you can always arrange for some disappearing ballot boxes at the polling station count. Now at what by-election did that recently happen? No prizes for the answer.

October 27th, 2009 11:04amOne time I was talking to liberal English couples and they ask me are you from Kosovo? I was laughing I never forget, I am immigrant from Central Africa, I work this country not a posh job but a job, being very black African it was surprise to me the English couple thought I was from Kosovo, when I tell people to this everyone laughs, I think the problem here is there are so many space out British people who think they don't have to worry about anything, of course they don't care about who is coming to their country and who is going, they only have one thing to say blaming all the problem to us "immigrants" not every immigrant is bad, the British people need to wake up, if you don't know who is crook immigrants and who is not it is not our fault, yes Britain attracts alot of crooked immigrants maybe the British laws are too soft or the people are too liberals I don't know but I know the problem is not only the government but the people who are not interested to know what is going on in their communities or who is living next door to them, Scary!

October 27th, 2009 1:26pmOh well, the fact is that there is no solution to this problem. It will be pointless voting for the Tories or Liberals because they will not do anything about it (and are bound by EU legislation anyway). The BNP are the only party who would take Britain out of the EU, halt immigration and prevent Islamification but, and here's the rub, most of the people (especially the various media commentators, Hitchens etc.) who desire these objectives are busily engaged in the utter demonisation of the BNP and anyone who would consider voting for them. We all know that the Tories will win the next election so I suggest you all stop complaining, put your feet up and cosily accept the inevitable destruction of English culture and the Islamification that will surely follow. Don't worry, our great-grandchildren will not condemn us as they'll be too busy memorising the Koran and praying with their bottoms in the air.

October 27th, 2009 2:37pmMjolnir de Jersiaise, Nick Griffin wasn't very good on Question TIme (not that they would have let him be), but the point where he 'won', if one can use that term, was where he said 'indigenous' and the entire panel, the 'cross section of British society' (lol) of the audience and the chair of the 'debate' rounded on him as one.
I have never seen anything like it.
No mention of that in the newspapers the next day, although the papers did spend a lot of time misrepresenting what he did say (and they wonder why he garners sympathy?).
In fact, the only mention I have seen of it is an implicit mention in some of Peter Hitchens' posts over the last week or so where he deals with this issue.
Astonishingly, he, too, thinks there is no such thing as the indigenous English and indigenous British.
There's indigenous everything else: Irish, Welsh, Scots - and every other country on earth. Only the English/British are expected to say 'we are a mongrel nation - no indigenousness here, folks'.
And they wonder why people are abandoning the mainstream parties. They've been told they have no hope.
They aren't indigenous - everybody else is.

I live in an area that will(i'm quite sure), within a decade or two sucumb to the steady inward tide of the Muslim population boom from the adjacent area to mine that is also known as; 'Bradford'.
To now find out that there's actually been a conspiracy to engineer this situation makes me very upset.... especially in the knowledge that in 15 years say, my eldest will be 20 years old and my twin boy and girl will be 17 years old.
Knowing at this age especially, they will be non-Muslim minority targets.
To aviod this,(without a doubt and i'll gladly produce examples of why i am correct, for anyone) my family will have to move out.
Either abroad or North.
In the mean time to cope with stress / tension attributed to the knowledge that every part of my UK establishment is commited to my family's demise in regard to them staying in Yorkshire i am persuing a high level fitness regime and train in a highly competative contact sport.

Too bloody right.
I get the Islam in Europe blog sent to me and not one day passes without some 'incident'. Or putting it more honestly, many crimes.
These range from terror offences, violence against the kuffar, destruction of property, burning cars and open civil disobedience in Sweden, Denmark, and France. These people are thugs with a crescent and star as motivation.
We've seen hordes of arse up Muslims desecrating Christian sacral space in Milan and the constant whine of demand for their effing 'religious rights'.
We’ve seen would be jihadis here in Britain bragging of a take over.
We’ve seen abuse of returning troops and even recovering hospitalised servicemen.
It's as clear as it could be, they are not here or anywhere else to share but to take.
I also subscribe to the Arutz Sheva site which has been reporting the ongoing Temple Mount Arab rioting.
The usual lies and distortion fanning the flame these fanatics are so willing to ignite.
There's a common thread here yet not one figure (apart from Geert Wilders and a few others) will address it.
As a theoretical question, if Gaza is now judenrein why should not Jerusalem be Islamrein? Same thing. Different religions, that’s all.
Constantinople was once the centre of Christianity . Now it’s not. Couldn’t the same argument be made for Al Aksa? Or is, as they proclaim, Islam superior? An exception to all others? Sure they’ll go crazy. Is ‘crazy’ the accepted arbiter of right and wrong and scale of equal justice?
Of all nations Israel must surely know more of this stuff than any other yet although attitudes are becoming more realistic, even Knesset drags it’s feet. After Goldstone it’s obvious where the institutionalised UN values lie. What is there now to lose?
We are in a new Phoney War.
The whiff of smoldering tinder is in the air yet all ‘leader of the free world’, Barack Hussein Chamberlain over the pond will do is bow to Saudi potentates, make self destructive Cairo speeches and appease Ahmadinejad.
It’s now clear to all but the most obtuse that it’s now a matter of not if, but when the eruption starts in earnest.
Nero fiddles, indeed.

October 29th, 2009 5:48pmWhat I understand from Ms Phillip’s blog is that the Cabinet had discussions on several occasions about the long-term impact of immigration. Some ministers apparently felt that too much of it might change the character of English culture; others were not too disturbed at the prospect. Historically, the Roman, Norman and Danish immigrations had substantial impacts on our culture - mostly for the better. As has, more recently, Huguenot, Jewish, Polish and Caribbean immigration.
Differing views within Cabinet are to be expected and hardly merit a column by Ms Phillips. Incidentally, most continental European countries are coping with immigration at least as large as the United Kingdom. The French, Germans, Italians and Spanish do it with far more grace than the Englsh.

October 29th, 2009 6:55pmNeather’s intepretation of the motivation behind changed immigration policy in the early 2000s is wrong. It was not a ‘multicultural plot.’, but was based on ‘expert’ views on the economic benefit of moving towards a ‘managed migration’ approach, especially in the context of the A8 accession countries.
That, at least, is the considered view of Dr Alex Balch of the University of Sheffield (though currently in the States), who based his PhD on this very subject.
He finds Neather’s latterday commentary mystifying, to say the least. Alex Balch has no political axe to grind.
For further details see http://thoughcowardsflinch.com/2009/10/27/immigration-policy-when-evidence-actually-counted-for-something/ and including the comments from Alex Balch himself.

October 29th, 2009 8:54pmDerek Blades is a "Type".
One could well imagine such an individual, that unfortunately occurs throughout all periods of history, plying their mercenary trade and offering their asinine opinions whilst eagerly working for the Nazis in occupied Europe , "Advising" the Spanish on best how to "Assimilate " the English had their attempted invasion been successful in the sixteenth century or , to throw in a bit of sci- fi,at some given time in the future acting as a brokering agent for alien invaders whose sole intention was to enslave the human race , all in the name of his version of sound commonsense, a huge pot of money and freedom from the persecution , torture and annihilation that would be visited upon the rest of the unfortunate populace .
As regards to the rest of Europe coping with more "Grace" than England regarding mass immigration may I suggest that "Barnacle Bill " Blades takes an extended holiday in the Swedish city of Malmo which he could mark down as experiental learning .
On second thoughts do everyone a favour and revisit the delights of Cathay , preferably on a slow boat to China and even more preferably utiliszing a one way ticket .

October 29th, 2009 11:48pmApparently, Britain's mass immigration policy doesn't extend to non-Muslim immigrants.

October 30th, 2009 6:18pmThere is only one outcome of this debacle and that is civil war.
Is this the aim?
If it is I think the perpetrators of this outrage should be wishing for a sudden death because there are going to be a lot of innocent men, women and children killed to achieve their Utopia.
Atheist agnostic, Christian, whatever they are on their death bed they will be terrified of judgement.

October 30th, 2009 6:22pmSome of us have known this for a long time, now that it has been revealed and the penny has finally dropped, the media must keep this in the news. The question now is, what to do about it before we are totally dispossessed of our land and culture. Put aside your unfounded doubts and get out there and vote BNP while you are still allowed to vote!

October 31st, 2009 5:33pmIt seems obvious that the only solution is to restrict British citizenship to the native British and those who behave themselves here and contribute to the common good. This means that, in addition to those mainly responsible for all the drug-dealing, shootings stabbings, street robbery and financial scams - (i.e., the Africans and the West Indians) -the Muslims will be permanently expelled from our land - all of them. Even the most peaceful-seeming Muslims are ultimately bound by their so-called religion to further by ANY MEANS - lies, slaughter, false promises, deceit - the installation of world-wide Muslim domination. Doctors try to blow up airports, quiet young men blow up tube trains and buses and fly planes into massive buildings packed with innocent people. The nettle must be grasped: no-one actually seems to dare to state the obvious - they must ALL go! Why can this never be openly stated? It is what most of those native British and well-behaved guests, who are deeply concerned about what is happening to this country, think. Can the plain truth not be told?
