May 23rd, 2010 10:16pmI believe Melanie's message would be very welcomed in the USA and I hope a book tour is in the works.

May 23rd, 2010 10:51pmI spent a very happy day reading it yesterday - didn't do much else - and I found it excellent. The discussion on Anglicanism towards the end of the book was particularly sharp. I found the section on Christian Zionism enlightening. Overall, your argument is convincing and well made. It is, I think, an important book and it deserves to do well.

May 23rd, 2010 11:38pmBritish publication? I'd ship it from the USA, but surely you'd agree that is a sinful waste of money, Melanie?

You should do a tour of the U.S.

May 24th, 2010 2:27amAs Churchill carried the honour of Britan in 1940, so Melanie Phillips carries its honour today. God bless Melanie Phillips!

May 24th, 2010 7:23amCongratulations Melanie. Londonistan was extremely interesting, and I look forward to reading your new book. Also,I enjoyed hearing you speak when you were in Sydney earlier this year.
Keep up the good work. It gives one hope and courage in a world gone mad.

May 24th, 2010 10:14amI'm a bit confused - the same title often appears more than once.
Is this because both hard and soft covered versions are selling?
Good luck with the book, anyway.

May 24th, 2010 1:30pmSaw your interview on cspan - I was favorably impressed. Unfortunately, I am an avid Kindle user and will wait until your book finds its way to that device. Best - and keep your voice and use your stage well!

May 24th, 2010 3:40pmSo, Melanie, when will it be available in e-book form for those of us with readers (mine is a Sony - no ad intended)? It's way easier than schlepping a big book and greener (not that I care much about that). Please, please, please - I am dying to read it on an upcoming trip overseas.

May 24th, 2010 3:48pmI saw your interview on C-Span, and found it interesting that you described Britain as almost "godless" and said that the Anglican vicars don't go to the prisons.
I don't understand why you called President Obama, Princess Obama, though!
Am I thick?

May 24th, 2010 5:02pmWell done!

May 25th, 2010 6:19amCongratulations Melanie. I have one on order from Amazon.com and can hardly wait for the sizeable dose of good sense that I know it will deliver. Push it my dear. What the world needs now is not 'lurve sweet lurve' it needs plain old common sense "'cos that's the one thing there just ain't enough of."

May 25th, 2010 4:40pmVeronica on 24 May: did Melanie actually say that or are you making it up? Either way, it is quite sweet and most appropriate. The sad thing is the clown probably does wear dresses.

May 26th, 2010 7:07pmI really enjoyed reading the book and I very much agree with your point of view and arguments. I must say though that Im a little disapointed that you consider yourself an agnostic. For someone who is able to argue for our point of view so well and to promote the Hebrew Bible so well, it is discouarging.

May 28th, 2010 6:37pmI heard your USA radio interview with Michael Medved and immediately went out and bought the book. Very enjoyable. I was reminded of essays by Dorothy Leigh Sayers in Unpopular Opinions ("They Tried to be Good", liberal Britain in the 1930s). Why are the strong people in England only the women? i.e., Dorothy Sayers, ER II, Margaret Thatcher and, now, Melanie Phillips.
