March 23rd, 2011 9:17amMelanie, please let your faithful readers know if there is anything concrete we can do to support you in the recent backlash you've been subjected to. Thank you.

March 23rd, 2011 9:55amBe careful what you say, Melanie. We don't have free speech in this country anymore.
I've just read the Fraser Nelson piece, and I'm disgusted.
We should be demanding our freedoms back, yet we have all allowed this to happen without a peep of protest. This could not happen in America.
Good luck with Twitter, and don't let them stop you speaking your mind.

March 26th, 2011 8:52amMelanie, your story (and its resulting response in Britain) has rearched the states, the land of supposed free speech. Without full disclosure, you only have half a story. And with full disclosure comes your (and others) inevitable conclusions. Keep shining the light in dirty corners, Melanie. It's unpleasant, but necessary. We must learn to call a spade a spade, even in the most politest of societies. To avoid it is pure folly.

March 26th, 2011 4:51pmMelanie, I see on the wikipedia site that you and my husband have the same birthday, year and all. Unfortunately, I think my husband is much less clear minded than you seem to be. He listens to the BBC via sattelite radio and he thinks I'm too narrow-minded because I like Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham. I hope you continue to tell the Brits what's what. God knows there's not enough of that going around. Keep the faith.

March 28th, 2011 7:56amI am an expat living in Israel for nearly 50 years. I have to commend you Melanie for your honest and eye-opening articles regarding Israel's 'hasbara'and the bashing which most newspapers in the UK handout towards Israel.I have complained about it for many years and have always felt Israel's side is not told as it should be. Israel has to find a good spokesperson to give the Israeli side of things...As of yet, all the spokespersons have let us down, and many made me cringe with embarrassment...
