On holiday

I'm going to be away in France for the next two weeks. This time I'm not taking my laptop, and I don't intend to try sniffing out cybercafes in the hinterland (famous last words). While I'm away, the techies should finally get round to sorting out the problem with photo captions (apologies if they look odd on your browser) and it should also be farewell to the comments section. In its place there'll be an e-mail address which  readers can use if they want to. Comment threads work fine on some blogs, but this isn't one of them, I think.
