Talking Politics
I was on Radio 4's Talking Politics yesterday, on a panel talking about Israel and the Middle East. You can hear it here. The link lasts until next Saturday.
(By the way, my fellow panellist, Tim Llewellyn, is blandly described in the intro as a writer. He was, of course, for many years a BBC correspondent in the Middle East. What a surprise - not - that he should now be a professional Israel-basher.)

In fact, all those who think that Israel is NOT uniquely responsible for global warming are insane, and should therefore be deported for immediate treatment at the Vladivostok Psychiatric Hospital No 17.

September 17th, 2007 6:16pmWith Jeremy Bowen now in post as Principal Spokesman for the Palestinians, it's interesting to see how BBC/New Labour recycle their Middle East correspondents. Barbara Plett one of the few hacks to be personally fingered as biased in the Bridcut Report (she wept on the death of her hero that lying, corrupt, old terrorist thug Arafat) is now in Pakistan for BBC/NLab and I would think it a very safe bet that the General will, as the Western ally, be the subject of her warped reporting - Sharif seems a reasonably safe bet as her new Arafat. Orla Guerin's reward for her few years of shafting the Israelis and the US seems to be a posting as Chief Africa Correspondent, so we can look forward to hearing those mournful Irish tones telling us just how the West, and no doubt, the US in particular are responsible for all the ills of that wretched continent. And we pay a poll tax for it all. Roll on a UK edition of Fox News - it couldn't possibly be any less "fair and balanced" than BBC/NewLabour but it would at least provide something of an antidote.
