I've a penchant for dull headlines. This one today, from the Guardian, is up there with the best:

Sindy's Williams to lecture in Lancashire.

If the headline had been "Sindy's Williams to LEARN in Lancashire", it would have been a worthy news item. Williams is one of those who can only teach because he's unteachable.

The University of Central Lancashire, it should be noted, offer an excellent GCSE course in Media Communications, for which they award a degree. It is spread over fragments of 3 years, at 2 hours per week. Unfortunately, it only qualifies you to take a higher course (About A level) for which UCLAN generously award an MA. Of course there are financial penalties. Its called 'Double your Debt'.
