What's the problem? TheMeropolitan Dopera is one of the finest house orchestras of any dopera house in the western world! (Having said that, I'll never forget the crushing disappointment of Levine's stodgy, lifeless, cumbersome performance of Les Troyens at the Met in 2002/3. I know you don't rate much French music, Stephen, but nevertheless, Mr Levine simply didn't GET the rhythmic spring in Berlioz, the way Colin Davis gets it, the way John Eliot Gardiner gets it. Levine evidently didn't.)
