Retief Goosen on Tiger Woods:
Goosen was in the field at Torrey Pines, finishing in a tie for fourteenth, but when asked whether he believed that Woods was faking the extent of his pain, he said: “I think so. It just seemed that when he hit a bad shot his knee was in pain and on his good shots he wasn’t in pain. You see when he made the putts and he went down on his knees and was shouting, ‘Yeah’, his knee wasn’t sore. Nobody really knows if he was just showing off or if he was really injured. I believe if he was really injured, he would not have played.”Today's news:
US Open champion Tiger Woods will miss the rest of the season to undergo surgery on his injured left knee.Do you think that Retief Goosen will apologise? Yeah right. Maybe he should just face the fact that even a semi-crippled Tiger Woods can beat him. That means Woods is ruled out of the Open at Royal Birkdale, Ryder Cup and USPGA Championship.

I can appreciate the scepticism .

June 18th, 2008 9:30pmI heard about his bad knee in the commentary during highlights, and after he hit some good shots, he was walking around great, no knee problems in sight. I think Goosen is right to be skeptical.

I'm sure Tiger doesn't need me to remind him of that.

Goosen should apologise.

June 25th, 2008 4:38pmI think Goosen made a comment that many people watching also thought -we were wrong and first of all he should not have said it but most of all he should have apologised as I do here .
