Harriet's advance

Thursday, 26th June 2008

I'm puzzled by the notion that Harriet Harman is somehow introducing positive discrimination into the UK. We've had it for years.

Is there anyone who really thinks that Ms Harman has got where she is because of innate ability, rather than because, and only because, she is a woman?

Not me. The woman is a pile of incompetence and stupidity.

She certainly didn't get where she is today because of her intelligence or ability to construct an argument. Perhaps she has (so far successfully) hidden talents.

Me neither.

Is Harriet Harman more incompetent and stupid than... oh I don't know. Fill it in for yourself. And I think Hazel Blears (shut up Fergus)

The Liebour Men are just as crap as Ms Harman, so I don't see your point.

Is there anyone who really thinks that Mr Brown has got where he is because of innate ability, rather than because, and only because, he is a man?

Apart from Jeremy Paxman, are there any White, Anglo-Saxon, Heterosexual, English males working for the BBC news team?

The following appear to match your criteria:

Bill Turnbull

I think people should spend 5 minutes doing a bit of research before commenting on here.

Harriet's Decline

It's not equality to encourage preference at any level when it comes to employment, its called
Malicious meddling and it will have the opposite effect and create further discrimination.

Equal pay for both female and male employees who do the same job and for the same amount of hours is just and this should be enforced and made law.

Council that advertise preference for ethnic job applicants based on a preference without any reason to support it should be outlawed unless a requirement for a language translator is essential, the Council has perpetuated this discrimination for many years now and it should never have been allowed, especially for a body that has pioneered the phrase 'Equal opportunities', when on the face of it, it promotes disharmony within the community and defeats its objective, to build a stronger community between all peoples based on fairness and equality, and not race or gender.

I think people should check their syntax before posting nonsense such as "I think people should spend 5 minutes doing a bit of research before commenting ON [sic] here".

Now tell us the proportion of such people compared to the general population.

QED.

Let's be honest, Harriet Harperson won the Deputy Leadership of the Labour Party because of her husband, Jack Dromey, stabbing Blair in the back over cash-for-honours.

I laugh so much when got caught in her own funding scandal.

Ann, do you want me to compare the demographics of BBC newsreaders to the overall UK population?

I offer a full apology for the misuse of the word "ON" in my previous comment here.
