Tamzin Lightwater's unique take on the week

Monday

Operation Policy Surge a complete success! Slap-up breakfast with wholemeal muffins and organic bucks fizz to celebrate burial of Tory sleaze under a confusing heap of random announcements. Of course the problem now is keeping track of them all. I mean, tax cuts and more bobbies on beat all v well, but free maternity nurse for every baby will be a bit tricky to deliver — if you’ll pardon the pun!

Jed says as long as we file them all under PMWD (Pledges Made While Desperate) we’ll be OK.

Much excitement too about The Bugging of Mr Khan. Can’t quite work out what we know, and whether they know we know it, or even if we know we know it. Whatever it is, I don’t think I know it. May have sat in on a meeting a few weeks ago when it was mentioned. But I can’t remember what was said. So, in fact, I may know, but I don’t know what I know. Most annoying.
