The Spectator’s prestigious Economic Innovator of the Year Awards, in partnership with Investec, are now in their sixth year. These Awards, celebrating the shining talents of British entrepreneurship and widely recognised in business and investment communities throughout the UK, have attracted growing numbers of entries year by year.
Wherever you’re based in the UK, we can’t wait to hear about the success of your business and the impact you’re making on the economy and society in 2023.
We’ll be presenting awards across six regions of the UK, with a panel of high-profile judges in each region helping us to choose regional Breakthrough and Scale-up winners, one overall Economic Innovator of the Year winner and one special award winner for excellence in sustainability.
Entrants may be at the cutting edge of bioscience and digital technology or simply finding better ways to make familiar products. Last year’s finalists ranged from developers of sustainable beauty products and portable dog washing devices to online safety software, energy-use reduction in data centres and advanced robotics in waste recycling.

All our 2023 winners will be named at a Gala Dinner in November. The overall winner will receive a bespoke Award trophy and an advertising campaign across The Spectator’s print and digital platforms to the value of £20,000. The winner of the award for excellence in sustainability will receive a print and digital advertising campaign to the value of £10,000. Regional winners will each receive a bespoke trophy.
