A big part of Jeremy Corbyn’s election pitch is claiming that the Tories want to flog the NHS to the United States. That’s nonsense, says Donald Trump. The president told reporters in London that even if the NHS was ‘handed to us on a silver platter, we want nothing to do with it’. He said:
"If you handed it to us on a silver platter, we want nothing to do with it."
US President @realDonaldTrump says he has "nothing to do with it" and "wouldn't want to" when asked if the NHS should be included in post-Brexit trade talks

‘I have nothing to do with it, never even thought about it. We are going to have a great healthcare system…right now, we have made it very good. In this country, no, they have to work that up for themselves. We have absolutely…I don’t even know where that rumour started. We have absolutely nothing to do with it. And we wouldn’t want to. If you handed it to us on a silver platter, we want nothing to do with it.’
Mr S thinks he could help Trump with working out where that rumour did start. The last time Trump was in London back in June, the president told a press conference 'when you're dealing in trade, everything is on the table' – including the NHS. It seems that Trump is for once on good behaviour this time around. But will it last?
