Karen Danczuk struggles to find work

It seems that Karen Danczuk’s glittering post-politics career isn’t going quite to plan. The estranged wife of Labour MP Simon Danczuk — who used to work for her husband as a secretary before they split — is currently looking for a job. Alas, the former Labour councillor seems to be discovering that experience in the bubble doesn’t necessarily count for much outside of Westminster:

‘I have over 10 years experience in the world of politics, I am a former Cllr and have had the privilege of also working for Parliament for over 5 years!! Experience, that most don’t have!! Yes this is some record when it comes to Public Relations!!’

Danczuk is after a part-time PR job but so far has only had her applications rejected as employers just didn’t believe it could be the ‘real Karen Danczuk’:

‘So I decide right I want a part time job in PR. I click away as you do and enthusiastically upload my CV and covering letter. The responses I have received are hilarious.

“We do not accept applicants from anyone impersonating others”
“Is this the real Karen Danczuk”
“I am assuming this is just for a paper trail”
“You don’t need to work Karen when you’re in the spotlight”
“Ha ha very funny, you almost had us”

Not the kind of responses I was hoping to receive, so as it stands no one believes it is me or that I actually want a job.’

Given that Danczuk may face bailiffs after ignoring a court order over rent, Mr S is happy to pass on any legitimate work offers for the ‘selfie queen’.
