Kevin Pietersen’s Sense of History

Text settings

Kevin Pietersen is an idiot. One day that will become endearing and amusing and we'll look upon his daftness with fondness and so on. But that moment hasn't arrived yet. So, for the time being, we look at Pietersen and wonder what on earth is going on. No normal person would tell the Times that:

“I truly believe Jacques Kallis is the greatest cricketer ever."

UPDATE: A friend emails to point out that Pietersen has previous on this sort of thing: "Aggers was speaking to KP in the West Indies, and asked him whether he took advice from retired players. He said that he didn't, because they would have no idea what it was like to play against really fast bowlers like Brett Lee. Aggers suggested that Andy Roberts and Michael Holding were pretty quick in their day!"
