Ford faces new allegations following the release of documents that record police interviews given by members of his staff and the public about his alleged behaviour on the evening of St Patrick’s Day 2012. It is alleged that Ford passed some time in the company of a ‘young, attractive blonde woman named Alana’ – no prizes for guessing how she apparently earns her keep. Other documents make claims about cocaine use and a couple of incidents of lewd comments to women. There are separate allegations of marijuana use (including a claim that a joint was once found in Ford’s his desk) and drink driving. None of the allegations have been proved.
Mr Ford cannot be removed from office unless there is a change in the law. The mayor, for his part, says that he is a ‘positive role model for down and out kids’.
