Strange how the wind in certain places
becomes your mind
and your mind the sea.
Shifting with degrees of perspicacity.

Strange how the pines in certain places
become the fret
and the fret the breeze.
Tidal. Sputtering with incivilities.

Strange how your bones in certain places
become the stones that make free
to stand. Or fall.
Or to mutiny.
