Jamie Wallis, the Member of Parliament for Bridgend has been ordered to pay £2,500 and banned from driving for six months after he smashed into a lamp post in November, failed to report the collision and then left his vehicle in a dangerous position. Wallis told the judge that: ‘I am sorry that is appears I ran away but this is not how it happened in the moment.’ The court, it seems, saw matters differently. The MP was dressed in a leather mini skirt, tights and high heels at the time of the crash,
