Although Conservative politicians insist they are not worried by the threat of a Jeremy Corbyn led opposition, an incident that occurred on Tuesday night appears to suggest otherwise.
Channel 4’s Michael Crick discovered a Conservative press officer sat in the audience at Corbyn’s political rally in Nuneaton. When Crick confronted the staffer — known as Mike Watkinson — with his camera crew behind him, Watkinson came across all camera shy and immediately fled the scene:
Just uncovered Tory Party press officer Mike Watkinson in Corbyn campaign meeting in Nuneston. When I confronted him he fled. Watch #C4News

A chase scene followed as Crick threw questions in Watkinson’s direction, asking him why he was attending the event on behalf of the Tories:
‘Were you sent here by the Conservative party? Have you come to gather intelligence? Were you sent here by Conservative headquarters? You do seem to be leaving this meeting rather rapidly.’
While Watkinson remained silent before fleeing the scene in his car, Mr S wonders if he was a bit hasty in exiting the event.

After all, Corbyn has since said he would have been happy for him to stay:

While Corbyn failed to attract another Tory4Corbyn this time, Crick has at least succeeded in adding another memorable camera chase to his back catalogue:
