Richard Branson briefly came down to earth this morning to give his thoughts on the EU summit in Brussels. The Virgin tycoon was asked on Sky News what he thought about the possibility of Britain leaving the European Union. Unfortunately Brand seemed not all there as he admitted he was a ‘bit distracted by space’ — thanks to the launch of his new space rocket later today:
‘Umm… yeah… I’m sort of a bit distracted with space at the moment, but I think it would be a very, very, very, very sad day if British people voted to leave.‘
The billionaire also insisted he loved Great Britain, warning that Brexit would mean the start of the break-up of the European Union. He added:
‘I think it would be very, very damaging for Great Britain. I love Great Britain’
It’s not the first time Branson has aired his views on the situation in Europe this week. The 65-year-old was rounded on yesterday for saying he was shocked by the crackdown on migrants in France.
